WDFW is putting a focus on wild turkeys in Washington over the next several weeks to help new hunters learn ahead of the spring general season opener on April 15. The monthly hunting highlights on myWDFW.com will be replaced with informative blog posts all about spring turkey hunting each week up until the opener.
Check out our first post, an overview of the state’s turkey population and distribution, below and read on in the coming weeks for more insights.
Be sure to check back regularly for posts on turkey behavior, hunting strategies, shotguns and loads, turkey hunting gear, and plenty of tips from WDFW staff who are avid turkey hunters eager to help you find success!
